Welcome Mr. Stu Pickles!

New foster Stu arrive today thanks to fellow NR Alex who help transport him to the eastside.  He is such a sweetie... not missing a beat, full of tail to body wags, kisses and snuggles... He was instantly enamored of my dog Sasha and just follows her waiting for some love back (keep waiting Mr. Stu... ) and

He's a bigger dog than I've had this year, maybe 15lbs (haven't weighed him yet), got himself a big of an underbite and is not a fan of the water in the bath, but seemed to enjoy the massage that came with it!

His name in California was Pickles which I thought was so cute so I named him Stu - for Stu Pickles, a dad from the Rugrats show and keeping with the S names... It fits him I think!  See the resemblance?

I'm Adopted!!!

It is any surprise that Skipper has found his forever home so quickly?   He is staying in Yakima and is getting a fur-subling name Fiona!   He met her and even settled in for a snuggle with her and his new mom!  He got good times in store for him! 

Sleepy Skips

He's found himself a favorite spot...burrowing in between pillows and settling in for a nap... he looked pretty comfy to me!

Skipper was VERY curious about the spotbot... He kept close eye on this machine (that was going to work because of a coffee stain - (it gets quite the work out from coffee spills versus pet spills!  haha) but no barking... just a watching.... however when the vacumn came out, he ran for the hills!

Sunshine and Snoozing

Skipper has been loving exploring the back yard and enjoying the sunshine.  He is learning the doggie door and working on his house training.  He still needs some to work on his house tranining but he has figured out he gets yummy treats afterwards and is starting to run to me for them!  It's a good sign!

 While he sleeps in his crate at night, he loves napping with and by his people when he can.. He is quite the cuddler... He's not really a burrower, preferring to be above the blankets so I get plenty of cute pictures!

Mr. Owl

A friend gave me a cool new owl toy and Skipper promplty made it his best friend... he chases it, carried it, nibbles it and makes it squeeak... What he can't do, is jump up with it in his mouth, but i'm happy to help the little feller out.

Silly boy!

We get some silly pictures of Skippers.  Who, when he is laying down - always has his ears up... I'm not sure they will ever go up when he's standing, but they are pretty cute either way!

Buddy Time!

Skipper loves to hang out with other dogs.  Here he is with Skittles (former foster dog that I am  dog watching).  Skittles wasn't a huge fan or curious Skipper, but skipper has been slowly getting closer and closer and last night they played a little bit even before Skittles remembered he doesn't do that!

He is a little timid, but once my neighbors daughter sat down and wait, Skipper wanted some attention ASAP!

 I haven't gotten good pictures of him and neighbor dog Roxie playing yet, but they are good buds who like to chase each other like maniacs. : )

Squeak Away!

Skipper loves himself a squeaky toy... Hear some toy squeaks and you can be sure he is the cause of it.  We've started to play with the tail chaser, but he doesn't get the "chase part", preferring to just gnaw on the tail and make it squeak.  He even found it hanging up on the door and was jumping trying to get at it...

 I put the food dish up and he found it.  I think he's mocking me!

Playing out in the yard

Skipper finally relaxed enough to do some running in the back yard... I got great photos of his ears up, through he typically has dropped ears.  Pretty cute little guy.  Sasha is tolerant of him and he follows her around where ever she goes.  He's got a little bark on him when he gets startled that's a little raspy but tiny and cute.  He also have been loving the fly chasing!  So far he hasn't caught any, but he's trying to hard! 

I earned some kisses from him today and am slowing teaching him how good belly rubs are.. He's

nervous about them, but he likes them too!
